As a former journalist and now a public relations and social communications professional, I created Word of Rod to marry my love of words with various social media tools to share my personal reactions to the world around me as well as to offer up whatever insights or observations might strike my fancy – and perhaps those of others as well. Some of the content will inevitably relate back to my chosen profession. Other sundry bits will, I hope, evoke amusement, thoughtful consideration or constructive and respectful debate. And some of it will serve almost exclusively to see if my family is paying any attention. I invite your comments and constructive feedback.
